Paris Saint-Germain defender Sergio Ramos, after the draw between Benfica and the Parisian side at the Parc des Princes, denied that Kylian Mbappe is looking to leave the French club this coming winter.
The Spanish centre-back analyzed the news about Mbappe’s apparent intention to leave Paris, after feeling cheated by the club.
“The only thing I can tell you is that I am a very good friend of Kylian, as far as I know he is very happy here in Paris,” Ramos said.
“He renewed this year, I don’t think the rumours are true, so we are still focused on what we are doing and we don’t pay attention to the news that is going around.”
Ramos to return to Spain?
Ramos also spoke about the possibility of returning to represent Spain for the World Cup in Qatar.
“I’m obviously happy to be back with the [PSG] team, to get as many minutes as possible and to play at a good level. My dream is, of course, to return to the national team, but it doesn’t depend on me,” Ramos said.
“Whatever the coach considers is always very reasonable, but of course the dream is always a return to represent my country.”
